1. Controller
The controller under the GDPR is:
DARLI Tibor Stefán
Kreittmayrstraße 16
80335 Munich, Germany
Email: info@darli.app
2. Visiting this website
Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH on servers in Germany. When you visit, the server processes technically necessary access data (among others the page requested, the time, the amount of data, the browser type). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Audience measurement with Google Analytics (only with your consent)
We use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd., Dublin) to understand how many people visit the site and which pages they look at.
We run it with Google Consent Mode v2. That means: as long as you have not agreed, analytics storage is switched off. No analytics cookies are set and no identifiers are stored that could recognise you. In this state Google only receives cookieless, aggregated signals (for example that a page was opened, without recording you as a person or as a returning visitor). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in rough audience statistics (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); no information is accessed on your device.
Only once you accept the „Statistics“ category in the banner is analytics storage switched on: Google then sets cookies and processes shortened IP addresses along with device and usage data. A transfer to the USA is possible and takes place on the basis of EU standard contractual clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Sec. 25(1) TDDDG).
You can withdraw or change your decision at any time by deleting the darli_consent cookie or the website data for darli.app in your browser. The banner will then appear again. You can also simply write to us.
Cookies
This website sets one technically necessary cookie: darli_consent stores your choice in the cookie banner (value „granted“ or „denied“, lifetime 12 months) so that you are not asked again on every visit. It is set jointly for darli.app and support.darli.app so that your decision applies to both, and it contains no identifier that identifies you. Legal basis: Sec. 25(2)(2) TDDDG.
Beyond that, cookies are set only with your consent, namely the Google Analytics cookies described above.
3. Using the Darli app
Storing and syncing your entries
Everything you record in Darli, meaning sleep, feeds, diapers, reminders as well as your child’s name and date of birth, is stored on your device and backed up and synced between your devices through our processor Supabase. That way your entries are not lost when you change devices, and you can connect further devices (for example your partner’s) via QR code.
No account with a name or email address is required; syncing uses pseudonymous identifiers. Where entries allow conclusions about your child’s health, the processing is based on your explicit consent, which you give when setting up the app (Art. 6(1)(b) and (a), Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR).
Predictions
Sleep and feeding predictions are calculated directly on your device. For this the app only retrieves general, non-personal configuration values from our server.
Notifications
Reminders and Live Activities are generated locally on your device and are only shown if you allow them in the iOS system dialog. You can switch them off at any time in Settings.
No advertising in the app, no data sales
We do not sell personal data and we show no advertising inside Darli. There is no cross-app tracking.
We do advertise Darli ourselves, on Instagram, Facebook and in the App Store. So that we can see which ad actually reaches parents, the app reports three events: setup completed, first entry, subscription started. Outside the EU and the EEA these reports also go to Meta (Facebook/Instagram), without a name, email address or any content about your child. On devices in the EU, the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland this transmission to Meta is switched off; there the data does not leave our own systems.
4. Processors and recipients
We use the following service providers, who process personal data on our behalf and on our instructions (Art. 28 GDPR); where data is transferred to a third country, EU standard contractual clauses apply in addition:
- Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany), hosting of this website
- Supabase, database for backing up and syncing the app entries
- Google Ireland Ltd., audience measurement on this website (Google Analytics, only with consent)
We do not use any other service providers.
5. Product improvement and security
Measuring our own App Store ads
If you found Darli through an ad in the App Store, Apple tells us once, at first launch, which ad that was: campaign, ad group and search term. We store that together with your anonymous installation identifier, along with how far you got in the setup and your child’s age in days. This lets us see which search terms bring parents that Darli genuinely helps, and stop spending money on the ones that do not. Nothing goes to third parties: the request goes to Apple, the answer into our own database. No name or email address is linked to it. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Diagnostics
We process technical diagnostic data (for example anonymised crash reports via Apple) to keep the app stable. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Apple only receives crash reports if you agreed to that in your iOS settings.
6. Retention and deletion
You delete entries directly in the app; the deletion is passed on to the synced data at Supabase. You can also request complete deletion of your data at any time by email to info@darli.app.
7. Your rights
You have the right to information, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, in particular against processing based on legitimate interests. Please write to info@darli.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA).
8. Version and changes
This policy is updated whenever features change. Last updated: 18 August 2026.
